Hey, did you know that King Sae Jong suggested the invention of the rain gauge?? Just a little trivia for you. Last Saturday was Sports Conference and man was it a doozy. Because of rain, the only outside event we were able to do was the "10K Beat the President Race". The course was beautiful, starting by the mission home after a short warm up jog we came right down next to a stream. We stayed on that trail...forever! It twisted in and out of huge apartment complexes and finally turned in to Olympic Park. After running all the way around, across, and through the park we headed back along side a 7 lane mega street in front of the park. At about the 1K mark there was a hill about a quarter mile long. The second half of the 10K had to of atleast been 10 miles long! So i didn't actually accomplish the goal of "Beating the President", I was a few minutes behind. So what if he's 47 years-old, he runs every day. I was reward in the end with a nicely printed certificate that said: "President Beat Me ___________" and right below a nice clip art picture of a baby crying. Not to worry I will be ready for him next year! We ended off the day watching "The Work and the Glory"! Wahoo!
